Let Our Children "Live"

Childhood is the most beautiful of all life's seasons...

Childhood is measured out by sounds and smells and sights, before the dark hour of reason grows... There is a garden in every childhood, an enchanted place where colors are brighter, the air softer, and the morning more fragrant than ever again!!

Our children are our future—and understanding and supporting their natural yearning for physical activity will help lead them to a lifetime of happy and healthy living. If we joyfully teach them how to include healthy exercise from the early stages of their development, we will be giving our children a gift that will endure throughout their lives.

Exercise Improves Mental Health

 - Exercise enhances the brain’s metabolism. Studies show that active children have improved memory as a result of better brain function

Moderate, fun-oriented exercise literally burns off excess harmful hormones and, at the same time, increases the release of beneficial ones. One of the beneficial hormones acts as neurotransmitter for establishing new memories.

Active children have the ability to concentrate much better, even at the end of a long school day.

Studies report  that exercise decreases anxiety, reduces depression, and improves mood and outlook in children. In addition, their quality of sleep is improved.
Exercise Improves Physical Health
- A stronger immune system! The body’s ability to fight disease is improved. Children are less prone to colds, allergies, and diseases, including cancer.
- A reduction of type 2 diabetes by increasing insulin sensitivity and improving carbohydrate metabolism.
- A strengthening of the entire cardiovascular system, including the heart and lungs. The heart develops a higher “pump-activity” while the child’s heart and lungs are strengthened, supporting the prevention of heart disease.
- Children are less likely to become overweight and will have better control of their body fat. Overweight children are able to reduce their body weight and body fat due to the physiological effect of burning fat while exercising.
- Children develop stronger bone structure and muscle structure.

As parents , you should focus on creative ways to incorporate exercise and creativity into our children’s everyday routine. Outdoor games and playful workout routines can be the tools that instill lasting joy of Health and wellbeing.

Perhaps most importantly, physical activity develops children’s self-esteem and confidence. Their ability to overcome difficult situations improves and they simply enjoy a better, sunnier outlook on life.

How To Tackle Peer Pressure For Smoking

For teenagers, peer pressure is unavoidable. Especially in today’s world, where along with friends, movies and television create quite a big pressure to take up such a habit. When they see their role models are chain smokers, they think it as a prestige symbol. To show their independence, to show that they are tough they might get into such act

Dangers Of Tobacco

In case you come under such a scenario just remember:

1.       If  you are pressured by your friend to smoke , then he / she is not an ideal friend
2.       Don’t be bothered about the chance of being discarded from group

What should I do?

Be Confident in your abilities that will help you to tackle the peer pressure, Say NO firmly for such activity. Do not feel ashamed or embarrassed as it is a main reason why individuals get into smoking habits show your self confidence
Fix your aims and goals - your ability will help you to refuse smoking pressure
As we know, now a days it is extremely difficult to avoid people or situations that tempt us for smoking or rather I will say provoke us for smoking , it is better to surround yourself with friends of similar value
In case you end up with a situation where your best friend with similar values and ideas gets into smoking habits try to think about possible negative consequence on your health and mental ability where as on psychological ground u might feel loss of self respect  will not  be able to face your parents confidently

Speak with your best friend / parents, or someone you trust about your peer pressure. Don’t try to hide the pressure which might create tensions which lead to problems like sudden irritation about unimportant things or lack of appetite

Try to change the situation by humor or changing the topic

Or avoid peer pressure confidently by determined response SAY NO

In case u copes up with the pressure your same friends will respect you for remaining smokeless in the long run.

The Parent ~ Child Relationship!!

It's not only children who grow.  Parents do too.  As much as we watch to see what our children do with their lives, they are watching us to see what we do with ours.  I can't tell my children to reach for the sun.  All I can do is reach for it, myself.

Just like with any relationship, building a positive relationship between parent and child is one that requires work and effort to make it strong and successful. Parenting is a tough job, and maintaining close relationships and open communications helps to ensure parents and their children stay connected through all ages of their upbringing.
